  • Statement of Faith, Character, and Moral Position for Temporary Staff

  • As an organization rooted in the Assemblies of God tradition, we are committed to upholding the biblical principles and teachings that form the foundation of our faith. Temporary employees who work with missionary kids are entrusted with the responsibility of reflecting Christ’s love and truth while supporting the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of the children in our care. This document outlines the expectations regarding faith, character, and moral position for all staff members in these roles.

    Statement of Faith

We affirm the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God as the doctrinal basis of our faith. While this document does not list each principle in full, we emphasize the following core beliefs:

    1. Scripture: The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and serves as the ultimate authority for faith and conduct.
    2. God: There is one true God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    3. Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, whose death and resurrection provide forgiveness of sins and eternal life for all who believe in and confess their faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9).
    4. Salvation: Salvation is available to all through faith in Jesus Christ.
    5. Baptism in the Holy Spirit: Believers are empowered for service through the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as evidenced by speaking in tongues.
    6. Holy Living: Sanctification is a progressive process, enabled by the Holy Spirit, leading to Christlike character.
    7. The Church and Mission: The Church’s mission is to evangelize, disciple, and serve, fulfilling the Great Commission.

All staff are expected to affirm these foundational beliefs and agree to daily live in a manner that reflects them.

    Statement of Character

As representatives of Christ, all staff members are called to:

    • Maintain a daily devotional life, including prayer and Bible study.
Demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) in interactions with children, colleagues, and families.
    • Serve with humility, integrity, and a heart for ministry.
    • Submit to the authority of Scripture and the leadership of the organization.

    Statement of Moral Position

Staff members are expected to uphold biblical standards in personal conduct, including but not limited to the following:

    1. Sanctity of Life: We affirm the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. Staff members must uphold a position that values life and opposes abortion.
    2. Marriage and Sexuality: We believe marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Staff must abstain from behaviors contrary to biblical sexual ethics, including premarital or extramarital relationships and homosexual conduct.
    3. Gender Identity: We affirm that God creates individuals as male or female. Staff are expected to respect and align with biblical views of gender, not promoting or adopting personal pronouns that suggest self-determined gender identity.
    4. Substance Use: Staff are to abstain from illegal drug use, recreational marijuana, and alcohol consumption. A lifestyle of sobriety and self-control is required.
    5. Social Media: Staff are to maintain a Christ-honoring presence on social media. Content that contradicts the values and beliefs outlined in this document—including but not limited to the promotion of unbiblical lifestyles, divisive speech, or inappropriate material—must be avoided.

    Acknowledgment and Agreement

All temporary staff are required to review and sign this statement as part of the application process, affirming their commitment to:

    1. Uphold the principles outlined above in both professional and personal life.
    2. Serve as role models and mentors, reflecting the love and teachings of Christ to the children in their care.
    3. Adhere to organizational guidelines, including the policies and expectations related to conduct, character, and faith.

By aligning with this Statement of Faith, Character, and Moral Position, temporary staff members commit to fostering a Christ-centered environment that supports the spiritual growth and development of missionary kids. Together, we serve with integrity, excellence, and a shared passion for advancing God’s kingdom.
